Ready to pick up the Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon in Destiny 2? Here's everything you need to know about getting it.
One of Destiny 2's most popular competitive modes is Trials of Osiris. You're meant to tackle these after you complete the main game, and you need to recruit additional players to make sure you complete the ten rounds necessary to come out on top.
Players can earn a variety of different perks depending on the Passage they purchase from Saint-14. Depending on which Passage players use, they'll get different rewards, and Passage of Mercy is one such that you'll want to use if you want to unlock the rare Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon.
Here's everything you need to know about seeking out one of the best hand cannons in Destiny 2.
How to unlock the Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon
If you're trying to get your hands on the Igneous Hammer, you'll want to keep an eye out for several God rolls that will guarantee what you'll get. These include Rapid Hit, Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Quickdraw, and Rampage. You can also get lucky with Outlaw with Rampage or Snapshot Sights.
Aside from that, you can try to win a few matches in Trials of Osiris, though this is less guaranteed, as Igneous Hammer is not always available as a featured weapon. Typically, you can get your hands on it as a reward for three, five, and seven wins, and you'd have to continue waiting for it to to enter the loot pool.
Your best bet is to take the tokens you earn during Trials of Osiris matches to redeem at Saint-14's location in the Tower. You need to have first unlocked the Igneous Hammer by winning enough matches, however, for it to be available. Once it is, however, you can use those tokens to bring that weapon you've been coveting home where it belongs.
You can also, optionally, complete a set of challenges during Season of the Chosen as well. There is a new set of challenges each week to compete in for XP and Bright Dust that can net you legendary seasonal weapons.
With the Igneous Hammer as the reward for winning three times, you should have it in no time during the Trials of Osiris. But if you don't succeed at first, be sure to keep trying. This is one weapon you absolutely want in your arsenal. Make sure you take the chance to add the Igneous Hammer to your arsenal, even if you find it a difficult slog at the beginning. It's well worth the effort.
